The beautiful historic city of Bath, renowned for its Georgian architecture and Roman Baths is a very popular destination to get married in. Offering country estates, rustic rural barns & historical landmarks, this vibrant Somerset city has it all. As a Bath Wedding Photographer I have had the pleasure of photographing many weddings throughout the city and I wanted to share my top 5 venues with you.
Temple of Minerva
Nestled amongst Bath’s Botanical Gardens is where you’ll find The Temple of Minerva. This unique Roman-style temple with its picturesque gardens offers the perfect place for your ceremony. Offering options for intimate ceremonies within the temple, or for larger ceremonies outside, this versatile venue is one of my absolute favourite outdoor wedding venues. Bath’s Historic Venues
The Guildhall Bath
Situated in the heart of Bath, The Guildhall is an impressive venue that caters for a variety of weddings. With a choice of elegant rooms for the smaller and more intimate ceremony, to the grander scale of the Alkamaar room for up to 120 guests. The grand staircase and Georgian interiors create the perfect backdrop for photos. Just a 2 minute walk away from the Guildhall is the beautifully ornate and landscaped Parade Gardens with its impressive views over the River Avon and iconic Pultney Weir. Back in 2014 I had my own wedding at this very venue so it’s a particular favourite of mine! Guildhall Bath Weddings
Priston Mill
Located on the outskirts of Bath in a beautiful rural setting lies Priston Mill. Offering two stunning venues; The Tythe Barn & The Watermill, it’s easy to see why Priston Mill is one of the most popular venues in Bath for weddings. Both venues deliver an abundance of rustic charm and have the capability to host outdoor ceremonies. Priston Mill Weddings
Roman Baths
If it’s elegant and romantic that you’re looking for, it doesn’t come more unique than this. In the heart of the city overlooking Bath Abbey, the iconic Roman Baths creates an enchanting setting for a candlelit wedding ceremony. With the choice of a sunrise or a sunset ceremony on the waters edge, and options for a reception at the adjoining pump rooms or your favourite local restaurant, there’s so much versatility having your wedding and celebrations here. This is also a hugely popular elopement choice with couples! Bath’s Historic Venues

The 16th century rustic barns offer the perfect place to hold your celebrations with the option to hold an outdoor ceremony in the Summer months. Situated amongst 37 acres of farmland, this venue which is just a stone throw from Bath city, offers plenty of scope for your countryside wedding.
